Handmade Navy Blue Moroccan Wool Rug with Ochre Lines
A line appears, disappears, then begins again.
Sillage No. 01 is a contemporary Moroccan rug defined by free-flowing ochre lines drawn across a deep navy blue field. Rather than forming a repeated pattern, each line moves independently — curving, changing direction and ending unexpectedly.
The composition is intentionally sparse, allowing the richness of the wool and the depth of the blue to become part of the design itself. Against it, the warm ochre lines introduce just enough contrast to give the piece movement without overwhelming the space.
Handmade in Morocco from 100% natural wool, Sillage No. 01 is woven individually on a traditional loom. Its dense, tactile pile reveals subtle variations created by the hand of the artisan — variations in texture, line, edges and surface that distinguish a handmade rug from an industrially produced one.
The deep blue and ochre palette works particularly well with walnut, dark timber, stone, plaster, warm neutrals and contemporary interiors. In a bedroom, living room or larger open space, the rug brings color while remaining visually restrained.
Each Sillage is made by hand. Small variations in dimensions, line placement, pile and edges are therefore expected and form part of the character of the piece.
