Some designs orient a room the way a compass orients a traveler — a fixed point at the center, everything else reading outward from it. This one works the same way: a wide, open square anchors the middle, and from its edges, segmented panels fan out toward the rug’s round perimeter.
The panels don’t repeat identically. Each one narrows or widens slightly as it travels from center to edge, divided from its neighbors by bold black lines that read almost like spokes — structural, deliberate, giving the whole piece a sense of radiating outward from a single held point rather than simply repeating a motif.
Hand-knotted by Berber artisans in the Atlas Mountains from 100% natural wool, Compass holds a warm, undyed camel tone across its full surface, with black used sparingly but decisively to mark the divisions. The pile 1.25” avg sits high and dense, giving the black outlines real depth against the plush camel wool.

Our standard knotted pile height ranges between 1" - 1.5" (2.5 to 4 cm) , with an average of 1.25" (3 cm). If you desire a lower or higher knotted pile, please reach out to us. A Soiree designer will collaborate with you to achieve your preferred pile height. This flexibility ensures your Handmade Moroccan Rug meets your exact specifications and enhances your living space beautifully.
Tassels
Traditional Moroccan rugs typically feature tassels on one side. You have the option to order your Berber Moroccan Rug with or without tassels. The tassel length generally ranges from 4" to 6" (10 to 15cm). Here's what tassels look like, adding a touch of traditional elegance to your rug.
No Tassels
Prefer a sleek finish? You can choose your Handmade Moroccan Rug without tassels. The end of your rug will feature a neat, unique binding, akin to the signature of the skilled weaver who crafted your design. This detail varies from rug to rug, enhancing the unique character of your piece.
